About this property
We rent out a 180-year-old building, which, if it could speak, would have 1001 stories to tell. This unique, historic house was built in the distant 19th century. The renowned blacksmith Cirill Sartori, known in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, lived and worked in this house, practicing his craft in the heart of the historic village center of Cortaccia on the South Tyrolean Wine Road.
The accommodation
The main apartment in the Cirillo House is spread over two floors and includes a large living area, four bedrooms, a reading room, a storage room, a separate kitchen, and two bathrooms. The bathrooms have a nostalgic feel but offer all modern comforts. The bright and spacious living area with a sofa and large TV, as well as the generous dining area, create an open and airy atmosphere. Nostalgically romantic: the bedrooms feel like stepping into a time machine. The round-arched windows with their original glass invite you to enjoy a view over the houses down to the vineyards.
Guest access
The apartment and its rooms will be entirely yours for the duration of your stay. The house has two reserved parking spaces with a barrier located close by (400 meters) at the town hall. The highlight: the house features a 350-square-meter garden – right in the center of the village.
Other important information
A journey into the past and back to the here and now. Let your soul relax and experience the charm of a small wine village. Everything you need for this will be provided by the house and its garden.

Cortaccia on the South Tyrolean Wine Road
Cortaccia and diversity – they go perfectly together. The area is full of historical sites, hiking opportunities, and bike tours. The surroundings are also rich in culinary specialties and excellent wines. Viticulture has a long tradition here: the Romans cultivated wine in this area as far back as antiquity, as evidenced by the excavations of an ancient vineyard.
In Cortaccia, there are several winemakers whose fine wines have already been awarded. If you’d like to refresh your knowledge of wine, we recommend the “Wine Trail” – which runs directly past the Cirillo building. This educational trail through the Cortaccia wine-growing region provides information about cultivation methods, indigenous and other wine varieties grown here. There are also many wine tasting opportunities. Insider tip: In just 20 minutes, you can reach Lake Fennberg, located above Cortaccia. The lake lies in a small depression at the beginning of a terrace on the Fenner Plateau. It offers a breathtaking backdrop and a peaceful atmosphere.
Exploring around the accommodation
Just a few kilometers away is the famous and probably the most beautiful lake in South Tyrol or even all of Northern Italy, Lake Caldaro. You can also reach the provincial capital of Bolzano via the Wine Road to the north in less than 40 minutes.
In the South Tyrol lowlands, there are many opportunities to indulge your senses. From the exceptional and unique wines to the top restaurants, and even to the authentic aperitivo in the peaceful village center, surrounded by old walls and minimalist flair.
